One of the points that make the island of Palma attractive to visit all year round are its monuments, which you can visit comfortably by renting one of our motorhomes.

Mallorca Cathedral

This monument is one of the most visited, known and recognized of the island. Of gothic style it is dated between the XIV and XVI centuries. It has a rectangular shape and is composed of three naves.
Inside is the Chapel of the Trinity, in whose presbytery are the tombs of the kings Jaime II and Jaime III.
2. The Almudaina

This Royal Palace is another of the most visited and well-known monuments of Mallorca, which today is still the official summer residence of the King of Spain, although the Royal Family usually stays at the Marivent Palace, another of the points of interest of the Island.
The castle that can be seen today is of Roman origin and is a modification of the Muslim fortress that was built between 1281 and 1343.

3. Bellver Castle

This castle was built by King Jaime II to be used as his residence, but throughout history it was put to many different uses, such as a mint or a prison.
It has the peculiarity of that it is the only round castle in Spain and if you visit it you can have one of the best views of the city.
At the moment its function is to be the Museum of History of Palma de Mallorca, a totally recommendable visit.
4. Capdepera Castle

It has a walled enclosure inside which is the castle. Throughout history it managed to overcome different battles. It suffered from pirate attacks, wars of power and even a reconquest. In addition to the castle (which was declared of Cultural Interest), there is a church with a Gothic carved Christ in orange wood and the defense tower of Canyamel, one of the most important in Mallorca.
It is a monument that can be visited all year round.
5. Roman city of Pollentia

This city is the most important Roman site on the island. Inside the city you can see mainly three areas: the portella, which corresponds to the residential area of the city, the forum, which is the part where the city square and the theater, located further outside.
Next to the site is the Monographic Museum of Pollentia, which preserves remains of Roman cities, glassware, ceramics, jewelry and coins among many other remains.
